O'Leary JH - Erik Harris - A Phenomenal Runner!

8th grader, Erik Harris competed at the National Junior Olympics Cross Country competition in Lawrence, Kansas this last Saturday (12/8). Out of almost 300 runners (ages 13 and 14) from all over the nation he placed 7th. He had qualified for this event by winning first place in the regional race last month in Boise. Erik is a phenomenal runner! He won every junior high cross country meet this year! GREAT JOB!

Erik Harris is not only a phenomenal runner, but a top-notch student when it comes to academics! I had the pleasure of watching him grow up while he attended Oregon Trail Elementary School. He was a participant in our noon-hour football program and showed great athletic skill during our games. He comes from an outstanding family with his siblings mirroring Erik as fantastic students and citizens. I look forward to following Erik's academic and athletic career as he progresses through the Twin Falls School District! Congratulations Erik!!
